Diamonds are not a normal early-map pickup. In current full-release footage, the player reaches safe-cracking progression, opens safes and later gets diamonds from that system. The official achievement list independently confirms both entities with In Safe Hands — Open 25 safes and Bling King — Collect 50 diamonds.
That gives us enough evidence to answer the player question without inventing a map coordinate: diamonds come from the safe system once the relevant progression is unlocked.
How safes show up
Current footage shows safes hidden in / associated with certain crystal objects. Breaking or exposing the object lets the player attempt the safe. Not every attempt succeeds early, which is why safe-cracking chance becomes a real upgrade concern.
We do not publish a made-up “best safe map” yet because the current evidence is stronger on the mechanic than on a complete location table.
How to get diamonds
The practical route is:
- progress far enough to unlock the safe branch;
- open safe-bearing objects during jobs;
- improve safe-related chance/progression as the tree allows;
- keep opening safes while doing normal late-game routes;
- collect diamonds toward Bling King (50).
This is intentionally not a “farm this exact tile for X% drop” guide. We have not verified a fixed per-safe diamond rate, so we do not publish one.
Patch #1 made safes much better for progression
Patch #1 increased Refined Resources earned from Safes by 250%. That is official, current to v1.00.01 and especially relevant if Draxine or another refined resource is your late-game gate.
It also means a launch-day video can seriously understate how useful safes are now.
Achievements tied to this system
- In Safe Hands — open 25 safes.
- Bling King — collect 50 diamonds.
If you are chasing Completionist as well, treat safes as part of normal late-game routing rather than a separate grind you leave until the end. The resources they now provide can help buy the upgrades you still need.
